Chef's favourite tomato
Every day cooking like a chef
Growing the Kumato requires lots of skills and craftsmanship. Only by using traditional techniques and natural methods the colour and flavour so typical for this tomato can be achieved.
The Kumato originates from the traditional Spanish kitchen, full of flavoursome gazpachos, luxuriant
salads, wafer-thin tomato carpaccios and, last but not least, tapas with a drink. The Kumato is also served by
many (home) chefs here. Not surprising. With its dark brown/gold green colour, the fruit has a striking,
almost exotic look. The intense, sweet taste is so unique that the Kumato can carry an entire dish.
Use Kumato in Mediterranean dishes or salades.
